AKA Danielle Storey. I don't even know what to say... I woke up this morning and I saw this... Everyone should go check out her entire gallery, it's really worth a visit, and by worth a visit I mean it's worth a visit. All her work are done in traditional and it's like... how??? lol but seriously go pay her a visit, and be sure to SPAM her wall with awesome comments : D
So a little story behind this gift...
Coming to the end of 2009, I began to reflect on a lot of things, but I'll try to keep it sweet and simple. 2009 was generally a great year, my 2nd year of college, changing programs, meeting an entirely new set of friends, moving on with a lot of challenges.
It's funny because I've just met a lot of new friends in the Illustration program for only less than 5 months, and already a lot of them are growing on me. So a couple of friends decided to do a 'secret Santa xmas card exchange' before December, and a bunch of us got randomly paired up to do secret cards. Of course ORIGINALLY I wished that I could've been paired with Danielle, so we joked around with what we'll give each other. So when the time came to show the list, I was kinda surprised that we actually got paired together.
So after many weeks of cutting through school work, I finally sat down and made her a card (unfortunately I didn't have the chance to scan it and upload it), and just this morning, I got this amazing surprise... HER CARD!!!! WHOAAAAA and it's like, well actually if you see it in real life it looks better than this. Reason is that she doesn't have a decent scanner to really bring out the true values and quality of the original piece, but when I do get the original copy, I'll scan it and upload it for her so we can all enjoy this magnificent work!
So that's my little early Xmas awesomeness, and thank you for listening lol and I hope that everyone will safely enjoy their holidays and new year!
