Seele's Evangelion Mass Production Model 07 vs. Evangelion 02
Well since End of Evangelion was the first official anime movie I watched back when I was 12, I think it's about time I did a little tribute art towards the thing that all got me started in anime. I distinctly remembered when the Eva series first came out of the bottom of the B2s and slowly started their decent. The time when all got smashed but somehow reactivated and ate 02 (oops spoiler lol)... It never gets old...
Anywho, I did some slight moderations to the mechs' designs, got rid of the metal knuckles because of too much hassle. I was originally going to put a progressive knife in 02's hands but didn't balance the overall composition.
The "smoky" tentacles on the bottom adds a sense of constriction, sort of emphasizing the good vs. evil theme in case anyone was wondering.
20 hourish in Photoshop CS, reference used on both mechs with some slight moderations
